Proof that I have lost weight!

My arm / shoulder
Okay, you're probably thinking how is this proof that I have lost weight?? Well, let me tell you. As you can see in this picture, I leave finger marks on myself. I've always done this, since I can remember. I'll wrap my arms around myself while falling asleep, and wake up the next morning like this. It takes about half a day for them to go away, so I suppose I like to cuddle myself while sleeping...

Normally, I'll find these marks on my shoulder or belly. Recently, however, I've started finding them in different places, such as my lower back and upper back. Even the back of my thighs! At first I thought it was just from my husband holding me, but when he's gone to Korea to work, and I've still found them... Well, I realized that I'm smaller now, so my arms reach new places. I spent a good 35 minutes this morning reaching places I haven't reached in over 10, maybe even 15, years!

I don't know about you, but that sure makes me excited!

Speaking of excited, I'm going out to dinner with my friends tonight! Now I know this doesn't exactly correspond with my post on "stepping it up", but I don't think it's a problem either. I "banked" a lot of calories yesterday (from exercise), and I will have a killer workout today. I've estimated the meal I am going to have, and I've exaggerated the calories so I have a buffer there too. I'm making it all on my budget! I know I'll stick to my preplanned choice, and that means I can go there and enjoy their company - worry free!

Before all this though, I am going to have a new body scan.... I am realllllly nervous, so stay tuned for my results tomorrow!! I'm hoping to see progress, any kind will do!

Make this your day!

  1. I love having non scale victories like that! It almost seems better than the number on the scale, makes it all worth it!

Have fun at dinner, I always like to plan ahead too so there's less chance of me going off track.

    :)

  2. Enjoy your dinner!

For me, this kind of physical victories mainly means being able to stretch farther. I am reallllly inflexible. Or used to. By now I can touch my toes, and sometimes even the floor. ^^

  4. Congrats on groping yourself in new areas! HA! I kind of do the same thing but my fingerprints usually end up between "the girls." Like at some point during the night my hand gets cold so I burrow into my bosom! Bwahaha! Have a great time!

  12. That´s so nice that you hug yourself when you sleep. I wished, I would do that. :-) But for me hugging doesn´t come naturally. So great that you lost so much already! Congratulations on that!

  18. LOL, I have to agree with the others, that is an awesome NSV! It's little things like that, away from the scale, that make us realise how far we have come. Way to go girl!

  19. You have a strong grip girl! I too can also touch places I haven't for ages. Such as, I can now scratch my own back fairly accurately. This is huge for me since my back is ALWAYS itchy! Congrats:)
